A Tolt Art Studio instructor leads an oil-pastel session for ages 10 to 17. Bring two to four printed photos of a pet, or use the animal photos the library has on hand.

Fall Harvest Festival at Remlinger Farms

One festival, open Friday through Sunday after the opening weekend. Gates close at 6:00 p.m. The grounds include rides, a pumpkin village, a corn maze included with admission, and u-pick pumpkins. The farm is closed Monday through Thursday. School field-trip Thursdays are a separate booking, not this public weekend.
Family Story Time
Carnation Library, 4804 Tolt Avenue
Stories, music, and movement for all ages with an adult. Play time is 10:45 to 11:00. The same hour is also on Fri Oct 9, Fri Oct 16, Fri Oct 23, and Fri Oct 30. Remlinger’s festival opens that afternoon, at the farm.

Oxbow’s fall plant day, also posted on the city events page. Shop native trees, flowers, and shrubs from the nursery, and ask the staff about planting them. The Snoqualmie Valley Record lists the same hours. Oxtober, later in the month, is a separate weekend festival at this address.

KidsQuest: Creative Circuits

KidsQuest brings circuit cubes for ages 9 and older. The blocks snap into small electronic builds. The same hour is also on Tue Oct 13 and Tue Oct 20.
Drawing and Donuts

Drop-in drawing for ages 9 and older, with donuts. Use a book tutorial or draw on your own. Supplies are provided. The Carnation Friends of the Library sponsor it.

Oxbow’s fall festival: pumpkins, a kids’ farm tour, outdoor play, and music. Admission is $6 in advance and $7 at the door. Ages 0 to 3 are free. A ticket covers parking, activities, and tours. Pumpkins, food, and a few workshops cost extra. Food trucks stay until about 3:30 p.m. This is not the Oct 3 plant sale.
Harvest Market

The farm’s market in the historic Hippodrome. Hot food from the culinary team, a history walk with the archivist, a fall photo spot, and artisan vendors. The farm calls it a day for the whole family and asks visitors to leave pets at home. The same Saturday is Oxtober, at a different address.
Mini pumpkin decorating

Ages 9 and older decorate a mini pumpkin with markers or paint pens. Supplies are limited and it is first come, first served. The Carnation Friends of the Library sponsor it.
Wildlife drawing in oil pastels

A Tolt Art Studio class for ages 6 to 10. Kids can bring an animal photo or pick one at the library, then rebuild it in oil pastel with the instructor.
